Effective date: October 8, 2026
Servitech Training Ltd. (“Servitech”, “we”, “us”) provides professional cleaning and Building Service Worker training to organizations across British Columbia. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in line with British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
We only collect personal information that you choose to give us. When you fill in the Request Training form, we collect:
- Your first and last name
- Your email address
- Your organization’s name
- Your phone number, if you provide one
- The course you are interested in, your approximate group size, your location or facility, and your preferred timeframe
- Anything you choose to tell us in the Additional Details box
Please do not include sensitive information in the form, such as health details, financial account numbers or government identification numbers. We do not need it to respond to a training request.
We do not take payments or course registrations through this website. Where a public course is listed, registration and payment are handled by the organization hosting that course, under its own privacy practices.
How we use your information
We use the information you send us to:
- Reply to your enquiry and talk with you about your training needs
- Prepare a quote or proposal and schedule training for your organization
- Deliver the training you request and follow up afterwards
- Keep basic business records of who we have dealt with
- Protect the website against spam and misuse
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We will not add you to a marketing or newsletter list unless you ask us to, and you can ask us to stop contacting you at any time.
Your consent
By submitting the form, you consent to us collecting and using your information for the purposes described above. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing info@servitechtraining.com. If you withdraw consent we may not be able to continue with your training request, and we will let you know if that is the case.
Who we share it with
Your information is seen by the people at Servitech who need it to respond to you. We also rely on a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf, including our website hosting and email provider, our website security and backup tools, and the web consultancy that builds and maintains this site. They are permitted to use your information only to provide those services to us.
Some of these providers store or process data on servers outside Canada, including in the United States. Information held there is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessible to its courts and law enforcement authorities.
Beyond that, we only disclose personal information where you have agreed to it or where the law requires or permits it.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it to respond to your request and manage our working relationship with you, and for as long afterwards as the law or reasonable business record-keeping requires. When we no longer need it, we delete it or make it anonymous.
How we protect it
We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, including an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to this website, a website firewall and malware scanning, restricted access to our accounts, and regular backups. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the appropriate regulator.
Cookies and technical information
This website does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Like most websites, our server and security tools automatically record some technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of your visit. We use this to keep the site running and to detect and block malicious activity.
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers and Google receives your IP address when a page loads. If we add analytics or other third-party tools in future, we will update this policy.
Links to other websites
This website may link to other sites, such as social media pages or the organizations that host our public courses. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to read their policies.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask how it has been used and who it has been shared with, ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete, or ask us to delete information we no longer need. Send your request in writing to info@servitechtraining.com. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will respond within the time PIPA allows, which is normally 30 business days.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with its effective date.
