We have 5 trainers and 2 consultants on staff:

Brent R. Bourne - Principal Trainer and Presenter

Brent R. Bourne - Servitech Training's principal trainerl Brent R Bourne has been involved in the Building Service industry for more than 30 years as a cleaning company owner, major Jan-san supply distributor, and cleaning equipment manufacturer.

For the last 17 years as college instructor, course developer, trainer, national speaker and a consultant to the environmental sanitation industry.

A consulting and training provider for all levels of government, Corrections Canada, many school districts, hospitals and first nations groups in British Columbia.

Founding Member and Director of Training at the Youth Employment Project, Victoria, BC. A Federal HRDC funded program that very successfully transitions at risk and street youth into full time employment (video on request).

Vocational instructor at the following Community Colleges for building maintenance and supervisory courses: 

Course designer and instructor for Recreation Facilities Association of BC (RFABC)

Partner with BC Transit to provide practicum training for challenged workers transitioning to the workforce

Designed and conducted hospital and long term care facility course: Healthcare Building Service Worker

Designed and implemented the “Super Clean” and “Mighty Clean” custodial training program for people with disabilities and learning challenges for VIHA

Author of the Building Service Worker program consisting of four levels of training in the building cleaning services trade: Introduction, Commercial Hard Floor Maintenance, Commercial Carpet Cleaning, Hospitality Services Room Attendant and Supervisor Skills for the Cleaning Service Industry.

Qualified in Work Safe, WHMIS, Blood borne Pathogen Safety, Sharps Safety, Ladder Safety, Musculoskeletal Injury safety, Slip Fall Investigation and Remediation. Resilient Floor Inspector for the Canadian Flooring Inspector Association, trainer for Cleaning Management Institute of the United States and other technical qualifications.

Brent has successfully investigated floor slip fall incidents for the last ten years for a variety of clients. He uses a Topaka Coefficient of Friction machine to investigate slippery floor conditions in the field.

Has worked as a presenter, consultant and trainer in the cleaning industry since 1989.

Developed and ran commercial full service maintenance firms 1975 - 1988.

Experienced in Disaster and Restoration services

Designed and manufactured carpet cleaning equipment.

Developed and ran a major Jan San distribution firm on Vancouver Island.

Consulted on and wrote cleaning specifications for hospitals, government and corporations.

Conducts computerized cleaning audits for hospital groups, education and large industrial plants such as Norske-Skog, Shell Canada, Alcan, Vancouver Island Health Authority, Northern Health Authority, University of Victoria, City of Richmond, Victoria Airport, Richmond Libraries and others.

Designs and implements budgets, training programs and work schedules for School Districts such as SD 23, SD 61, SD 69, SD 79, SD 71, SD 76, SD 72 and many others.

Proudly worked with many First Nations groups in BC to institute Elder Homecare and Custodial training programs.

Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) investigations and remediation for such clients as the RCMP and municipalities.
